Title
Bull Creek Road Retaining Wall
Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project applicant, the California Department of Transportation. The Project includes activities related to the restoration of retaining wall along SR 140 where scour has undermined approximately 200 feet along the wall. Approximately 60 cubic yards of concrete will be required to fill the void. Staging of all heavy equipment including crane with derrick and boom will be on SR 140 above. All construction materials, appliances and crews will be lowered to the construction area (at the foot of the wall) by a platform hung from the boom. Construction will only occur during naturally dry conditions or when the work area has been isolated from the wetted channel. A sand bag berm with a visqueen barrier will be placed in the channel to maintain dry conditions. Fast setting concrete will be poured into the void area form and/or bounded by the existing ground, wall footing, and form work.
