Title: Castillian Hall Redevelopment
Description: The UC Davis Castilian Hall Student Apartments project will construct a 60-unit, 138-bed residential housing complex on a 3.3 acre site owned by the University at 1440 Wake Forest Drive in Davis. Until recently, the site was developed with student apartments, but the buildings were deemed seismically unsafe and were approved for demolition on September 25, 2012. The replacement project will serve UC Davis graduate students and will include common meeting spaces and other amenities. For CEQA purposes, the demolition (Phase 1) and redevelopment (Phase 2) of the site were considered together in the FEIR; Phase 2 is the subject of the current approval.
