Fair Oaks Village Streetscape Project

Description

The project area is located in the northeastern area of Sacramento County and includes small individual sites along Fair Oaks Boulevard. Project related streetscape improvements will be located at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Winding Way, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and CA Avenue, along Fair Oaks Boulevard approximately 200 feet south of CA Avenue and at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Bridge Street. In addition to the streetscape improvements, the project includes an asphaltic concrete (AC) overlay at a parking area along the east side of Fair Oaks Boulevard adjacent to Plaza Park. The Project includes streetscape enhancement along Fair Oaks Boulevard including pedestrian improvements, road improvements and drainage improvements. The pedestrian improvements will consist of sidewalks, ramps and crosswalks to provide ADA accessibility and continuity, curb extensions that will function as traffic calming devices and a meandering pathway to provide connectivity for pedestrians parked in the Fair Oaks Boulevard/ Winding Way "triangle" area to the Fair Oaks Village commercial businesses. The roadway improvements will include slurry seal, restriping, bicycle "shared lane" markings and an AC overlay. Drainage improvements will include new drainage inlets and piping to connect the inlets to the existing drainage system.
