- The California Department of Public Health (Department) is a responsible agency for this project. The Department's Safe Drinking Water Proposition 50 Program is providing state funds for the project. The Downieville Public Utility District proposes to replace the existing water treatment system with a contact clarification filtration plant with intergrated disinfection system. The treatment system will include a steel fabricated treatment building, SCADA, power control, communication hook-ups, and a wash-water handling system.
