RMWD Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System Installation

Description

The Ramona Municipal Water District proposes to a construct solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the SMWWRP and at the SVWWRP. The solar PV systems will provide a portion of the electrical power required to operate the plants. The solar PV system at the SMWWRP site would be located in the northwest corner of the plant site. Equipment associated with the solar PV system would be located east and south of the aeration pond. Trenches 12" deep and 12" wide would be excavated to install connecting electrical cables between the inverter and the main facility panels. Previously excavated fills soils (approximately 4,200 cubic yards) stored in the southeastern corner of the construction area would be exported from the site. The solar PV system at the SVWWRP would be mounted on the west facing roof slope of the shade structures over the sludge drying beds in the eastern portion of the SVWWRP site. The roof decking on the west facing slopes of the roof would be replaced and the structures reinforced. Equipment associated with the solar PV system would be located south of the shade structure. A trench 12" deep and 12" wide would be excavated to install connecting electrical cables between the inverter and the main facility panels.
