Title: Tequesquite Landfill Photovoltaic System
Description: The proposed project will be constructed in two or more phases. The first phase will consist of 1 megawatt (MW) to 5 MW PV system that will serve as a pilot program for RPU. Second and potential subsequent phases will construct up to the full 10 MW PV generation system that will occupy approximately 40 acres of the entire northern half of the Landfill cover. The aboveground and underground distribution facilities will be constructed at the time the 6 MW - 10 MW portion of the project is constructed. Operation of the PV system does not require water except for periodic maintenance (i.e., washing) of the PV panels that will occur approximately twice per year. Water will be supplied to the Landfill site via tank trunks; therefore, the Project does not include water facilities.
