Title
UCLA Wasserman Building
Description
UCLA proposes tenant improvements within the Wasserman Building (104,699 gsf) to accommodate outpatient programs and related support space for the Jules Stein Eye Institute and the David Geffen School or Medicine Institutes for Neurosurgery and Urologic Oncology. The scope of work would include installation of the following: interior partitions, lazed partitions and clerestory windows; ceilings and lighting; casework, signage, window blinds, fixed equipment (projection screens, white boards, lockers and fixed medical equipment); and provisions of finishes throughout the building. The project would include installation of procedure room and exam room sinks, surgical scrub sinks, and patient toilet room fixtures; piping for medical utilities (oxygen, air, vacuum, nitrous oxide); chilled beams and fan coil units; branch ducting, dampers, diffusers, and mechanical system controls; ventilation equipment; provisions of power to point of use; a fire sprinkler system and fire alarm devices. As stated above, an Initial Study/mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared and approved by The Regents in May 2010. All actions related to construction of the building, which includes interior improvements, were determined to result in either no impact or less than significant impact.
