Title
Raised Pedestrian Walkway at Hartnell Gulch
Description
The proposed Project would create a raised pedestrian walkway above a seasonal creek commonly known as Hartnell Gulch. Up to 4 oak trees ranging from 18 to 24 inches diameter at breast height (DBH) and on multi-trunked ornamental plum tree along the right bank (looking downstream) would be trimmed or removed. Approximately 13 round concrete caissons, each ~30 inch diameter, would be installed along the right bank to support the raised concrete walkway ~6 to 8 ft wide and 3 to 9 ft above the bank. A "bobcat" dozer would be used to grade areas of the right bank to remove invasive vegetation and accommodate caissons. Water in the creek would be diverted using a suitably sized pipe to prevent contaminating flow with sediment or concrete. Invasive vegetation would be removed and ~1,750 sf of creek bank would be revegetated using appropriate native species.
