Madison Water Well and Tank/Kaiser Water Well and Tank
Description
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is a resonsible agency for this project. The Department's, Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program is providing state funds for the project. The Greenfield County Water District proposes to evaluate the following alternative in the study: no action blending groundwater from existing wells District proposes to evaluate the following alternative in the study: no action blending groundwater from existing wells together to decrease arsenic levels; test the existing wells to see what portion of the aquifer is producing the pollutions; if good water quality is found, the water system would zone block off the areas of the quifer containing an arsenic contamiation; drill, log, sample, and zone test wells to try to locate groundwater that is low in arrsenic and meets the state's MCL for arsenic; a new well will be drilled if acceptable water quality is found, pilot test water quality is found, pilot test water to determine what treatment process would be best suited to address and remedy the arsenic contamination problem.
