- RWQCB is issuing a Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the subject Project. The project includes completing the remaining levee improvements to the Natomas Basin, The project will address seepage, stability, erosion, penetrations, and levee encroachment issues along approx. 6.8 miles of the Natomas East Main Drainage Canal (NCMDC) and the Natomas Cross Canal (NCC) by installing cutoff walls; relocating the Vestal Drain to the south of its location; and removing two pumping plants and replacing one pumping plant at Reaches D and H.
