Title: Encinitas Creek Channel Improvement
Description: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2010-0244-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the City of Encinitas. Approximately 11,000 cubic yards of sediment will be removed from the project area to reduce flooding potential at the intersection of El Camino Real and Leucadia Boulevard. The majority of the impact area will be planted and/or seeded with native vegetation after sediment removal activities. A permanent fair-weather access structure consisting of articulated concrete block mat and fixed concrete headwall will be constructed across the stream.
