Calexico Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and Expansion EIR

Description

The City proposes toreplace obsolete and older equipment with newer technology, and to expand its treatment capacity from 4.3 milliong gallons per day to 6.5 million gallons per day. Both the upgrade and the increase in treatment capacity would be accomplished within the boundaries of the existing facility and an area that extends ~250 ft south of the plant. The project would include demolition of existing structures and construction of new structures to allow continues treatment at a secondary level.
