Description

The applicant has revised the project description to remove pyrolosis of used tires and US currency from the list of originally proposed incoming waste streams. The project has been modified to ensure that processing volumes do no exceed the operation and stationary air emission Level of Significance Thresholds adopted by the Kern County Air Pollution Control District. Clarifications have also been made relating to the method and location for off-site disposal of the inert ash, which is the remaining by-product of the proposed pyrolosis process. Revisions to mitigation measures also address potential biological impacts, closure plan requirements, and the development of emergency response protocols.
