Relocation of Traction Power Sub Station (TPSS) Sites 3 and 4 for Mid-City/Exposition Light Rail Transit Line

Description

NOTE: Reference SCH# 2000051058 Metro proposes to locate TPSS Site 3 for the Mid-City/Exposition LRT system at 1409 Exposition Boulevard, which is at the northwest corner of Halldale Avenue and Exposition Boulevard in the City of Los Angeles. The new site is less than 1,000 feet west of the site originally proposed in the FEIS/EIR. TPSS Site 4 was to have been located at 3790 2nd Avenue in Los Angeles as site originally proposed in the FEIS/EIR. However, the property was deemed suitable for development by local councilman Herb Wesson; Metro was unable to acquire the property and, therefore, had to find an alternate TPSS site. The proposed location for TPSS Site 4 is a small plot of open space at the intersection of Rodeo Road and Exposition Boulevard in the community of Jefferson Park in City of Los Angeles.
