Shadow Oak Park Improvements

Description

The proposed park improvements would be located on 12 acres of undeveloped land and would adjoin the existing improved park to the west. The proposed park expansion would be developed in two phases. The following types of activities would occur during Phase I: - Grading - Installation of an irrigation system - Landscaping of grass and trees - Development of wildflower gardens - Installation of security lighting - Construction of concrete walking paths The following activities would occur during Phase II: - Construction of all recreational/play features (picnic areas and shelters; grassy play area; drinking fountains; children's creative play area; volleyball court; site furnishings, such as picnic tables, benches, and trash receptacles) - Construction of parking lot - Installation of site perimeter fencing and gates - Construction of public restrooms - Construction of a maintenance storage building The walking paths that would be constructed during Phase I would connect the project site to the existing improved park, as well as the single-family residential community to the south. Access to the proposed parking lot would be located on the southwestern portion of the project site.
