Title: Aquarium of the Pacific Facility Enhancement Project (ND 14-06)
Description: The Aquarium of the Pacific proposes (1) to construct 5,300 square feet of indoor facilities and 13,800 square feet of outdoor, fabric-shaded exhibit area at the rear of its existing campus and (2) to relocate its current aviary exhibit to the same parcel. The Aquarium Enhancement Project involves an adjustment to the current leasehold boundaries and the potential conversion of a portion of Shoreline Park to non-outdoor recreation uses. The proposed leasehold adjustment will not change the total square footage of the Aquarium campus or Shoreline Park. No demolition is required. Construction of the program's four project components will be phased. Thresholds of Significance and mitigation measures were identified in Queensway Bay Master Plan EIR (SCH# 1994081033) certified 3/2/95.
