- Los Angeles County processed a request for a conditional use permit to authorize the operation and maintenance of a water distribution and sales facility located on a 7.67 acre parcel within unincorporated Los Angeles County adjacent to the Sleepy Valley community. The applicant requests to use an existing well, pump house, two 10,000 gallon water storage tanks, and three 3,800 gallon tanker trucks for supplying water for sale to existing residents. Truck trips will not exceed 15 one-way trips per day and no more than 40,173 gallons of water per day will be drawn from the applicant's well. The well is not shared with other users. The well is supplied by the non-adjudicated Mint Canyon aquifer. The Division of Water Rights is processing water right Application 31652 for a permit for the existing well.
