Title
Coyote Hills Regional Park Land Use Plan
Description
The East Bay Regional Park Distirct (EBRPD or Park District) has prepared a Land Use Plan to guide the management of natural resources and facility development at Coyote Hills Regional Park. Key recommendations of the Land Use Plan include: enhancing the Park's habitat by working with the Alameda Flood Control and Water Conservation Distrist, which owns about half of the 1,000-acre parkland, to develop a plan to reduce cattails that have invaded much of the area's wetlands; preparing a protection plan that would address strategies to slow erosion occurring on Native American resources; further protecting Native American resources during interpretive programs; improving circulation and parking efficiency at the Park; and increasing opportunities for views of wetlands.
