Title: Covelo Wastewater Facilities Improvement Project
Description: The project will upgrade the existing WWTP to comply with the District's Waste Discharge Requirements (Order No. R1-2006-0007). The Project will involve: 1) removing, dewatering, and disposing of biosolids contained within Oxidation Pond No. 1; 2) restoring, conducting surface preparation, and installing a high density polyethylene liner in Oxidation Pond No. 1; 3) grading and improving Holding Pond Nos. 1 and 2; 4) installing an ozone disinfection system with a new backup generator and related equipment; 5) installing new electrical system as part of the ozone disinfection system; and 6) relocating, demolishing, and remodeling the existing buildings as needed for the installation of new facilities.
