- The purpose of the Interim Plume Containment and Hexavalent Chromium Treatment Project is to protect public and environmental health and welfare by achieving hydraulic control of the ground water plume containing chromium, mostly in the ground water plume to downgradient water supply wells. The Interim Plume Containment and Hexavalent Chromium Treatment Project includes two major elements: extraction of polluted ground water at the Desert View Dairy (DVD) and the treatment of this water.
