Vallecitos Environmental Land Outfall Replacement

Description

The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2004-0402-R5 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. William W. Rucker, representing Vallecitos Water District. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed, an unnamed drainage, tributary to Agua Hedionda Creek, tributary to the Agua Hedionda Lagoon, tributary to the Pacific Ocean, to accommodate the construction of the Land Outfall Interceptor Sewer Project. The project includes the replacement of 6,100 linear feet of sewer pipeline by constructing a new pipeline parallel to the existing pipeline. The pipeline will be 24"-36" diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or high-density polyethylene using open-trench installation. Construction activity includes excavation and grading using excavators, backhoes, and trucks. The pipeline will cross the streambed at four locations impacting 0.06 acre of streambed.
