Title: 1 Carter Avenue Project
Description: The project primarily involves removal, by the Permittee, of sediment from within the debris basin to prepare for expected runoff from areas affected by the Station Fire. The project also includes periodic excavation, land clearing, repair and maintenance of existing debris basin structure and appurtenances, fire hazard clearing, and vegetation removal to restore the basin to its original flood design capacity which will be undertaken by the County of Los Angeles (County) upon the Permittee's transfer of the maintenance responsibilities for the One Carter's Debris Basin to it. Continued maintenance and excavation is needed at this facility for the protection of the public and prevention of property damage and loss of life due to flooding.
