Josefa Chaboya de Narvaez Replacement Facility for Public Health, Mental Health, and Department of Drug and Alcohol Services

Description

The County of Santa Clara General Services Agency (GSA) proposes to acquire a 3.46 acre parcel (APN: 497-41-098) occupied by the Korean First Baptist Church located at 2500 Senter Road in the City of San Jose. This property is adjacent to a 0.8 acre parcel owned by the County of Santa Clara, currently occupied by the Valley Health Center at Chaboya, a medical clinic (APN: 497-41-003). Together these two parcels comprise the project site. Once the property is purchased, GSA would allow the Korean First Baptist Church to lease back the property for a maximum of three years. During this period, a majority of the services currently being provided at the Valley Health Center at Chaboya would relocate to the Franklin-McKinley clinic, located on Tully Road between Tenth Street and Senter Road, when construction is complete in 2004. Following termination of the lease at the Korean First Baptist Church, the Valley Health Center at Chaboya and the church would be demolished and the proposed replacement for the Josefa Chaboya de Narvaez Facility for Public Health, Mental Health, and Department of Alcohol and Drug Sevices, which is currently located adjacent to the project site in a leased facility, would be constructed.
