Mountain Vista and Sycamore Glen Subdivisions (S00-11 & S01-02)

Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0150-R2 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Epick Homes. Overall project description for the Sycamore Glen/Mountain Vista Subdivision proposes to construct two residential development projects in the northeast planning quadrant in the City of Chico. The Mountain Vista subdivision will construct approximately 63 acres of multi-family residential and single-family residential, 1.9 acres of commercial, and 25.1 acres of public open space. Sycamore Glean subdivision will consist of approximately 55 acres of multi-family residential and single-family residential and 31.35 acres of public open space. The total project will consist of 118.55 acres of development and 56 acres of open space. Work within the jurisdiction of the Department includes the construction of the outfall associated with the storm water treatment basin located upslope from Sycamore Creek in the northwest corner of the project boundary. Construction of the outfall will require 2 feet of bank exaction for the placement of approximately 16 cubic yards or rip rap. The areas immediately adjacent to the outfall location will be planted with suitable riparian vegetation (e.g., willows) to provide long term stabilization through root structure. The proposed project would use a dump truck, a front-end loader, a track-hoe and an excavator.
