- The Doheny State Beach General Plan replaces the existing Resource Management Plan and General Development Plan for Doheny State Beach that was adopted in 1972 and amended in 1982 and serves as a framework to guide the park's day-to-day decisions on park operations and improvements. State Park generals are broad-based policy documents that provide management guidelines for a park by defining a framework for implementing diverse missions of resource stewardship, interpretation, and visitor use and services. The plan defines the purpose, vision, and long-term goals and guidelines for the management of the park.
