Description

The General Plan Update is a comprehensive update of all existing General Plan Elements. Part of this Update includes a revised General Plan Land Use Map and new or revised Land Use Categories. After adoption, there will be a series of action taken to implement the goals and policies of the General Plan, including but not limited to: Zoning Ordinance Amendments, Rezonings, Specific Plans, Subdivisions, Planned Developments, Site Plans, Conditional Use Permits, Revision of the Municipal Code, the City's Standards & Specifications, Infrastructure & Utility Master Plans; Development Impact Fees; and Establishment of a Mixed Use District, a Vine Street Historic Overlay District, a Salinas River Corridor Overlay District (and subsequent Corridor Plan), a Senior Housing Overlay District, a defined urban edge/limit line coupled with a surrounding open space are, a focus on infill, dispersal of affordable housing sites, and an expanded planning impact area.
