- Emergency Permit for the detonation of 10 ounces of non-military smokeless powder recovered during an emergency response action by the Niland Fire District. The smokeless powder was recovered in a residence at 264 1st Street, in the City of Niland by the Niland Fire District. The residence apperared to be used in a stripping operation for recovering recyclable/reusable portions of military ordnance. There are residences on the three sides of the property where the ordnance was discovered, with the nearest residence approximately 100 ft. away. The Southern Pacific Pipeline liquid gas line is approximately 60 ft. south of the incident location.
