Olive Vista Drive and Jefferson Road-Realignment and Bike Lane Project

Description

This project is a proposal to construct bicycle lanes in the vicinity of the unincorporated community of Jamul in southeastern San Diego County. The proposed project would widen and improve shoulders of two existing roads, Olive Vista Drive and Jefferson Road, to allow for the construction of the bike lanes. The project begins 200 feet east of the intersection of Olive Vista Drive and Lyons Valley Road, and continues eastward along Olive Vista Drive for a distance of 4,968 linear feet. Widening for the bike lanes would occur on both sides of the road. In addition, the western portion of Olive Vista Drive would be slightly realigned to improve an existing curve in the road. The bike lane improvements for Jefferson Drive begin at the intersection of Olive Vista Drive, and continue mostly on the west side of the road northward on Jefferson for a distance of 294 feet.
