College Infill Apartments

Description

The project is the construction of infill apartments at three existing colleges on the UC Santa Cruz campus: Cowell College, Stevenson College, and Porter College. The project will construct a total of approximately 225,890 outside gross square feet of space. At Cowell College approximately 29 student apartments and support facilities will be provided in three 3- and 4-story buildings to be located on approximately 5.6 acres of land east of Hagar Drive and west of two existing Cowell College dormitories. Support facilities at Cowell will include a community room, a computer room, a mailroom, and laundry facilities. At Stevenson College, approximately 26 student apartments and support facilities will be provided in three 3-story buildings to be located on approximately 2.7 acres, immediately south of the college, on the site of an unused swimming pool. Support facilities at Stevenson will include a mailroom, laundry facilities, a computer room, and a music practice room. At Porter College, approximately 86 student apartments and support facilities will be constructed in seven 2-, 3-, and 4-story buildings located on approximately 4.8 acres between Porter College and Kresge College. Support facilities at Porter will include a mailroom, laundry facilities, a community room, and possibly a photo lab.
