Title: Sand Creek Outfall and Free-span Bridge
Description: As part of the development of a 76-acre parcel into 220 residential lots and parks, a 60-inch diameter outfall structure will be installed on the north bank of the creek approximately 3,000 feet west of Fairview Avenue in Brentwood, Contra Costa County. The outfall structure will follow the County CD50i design utilizing a combination of grouted and loose rock rip-rap. Approximately 420 square feet of the north bank and bed will be impacted. In addition, a clear span bridge with a 140-foot right-of-way will be installed over the creek approximately 500 feet west of the outfall. The north abutment will be located approximately 20 feet north of the top of the bank and the south abutment will be located approximately 10 feet south of the top of the bank. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2003-0234-3 pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Mr. Mark Elrod / Meritage Homes.
