Description

The applicant's is requesting approval of a project to replace an existing unimproved low water crossing with a new bridge. The low water crossing crosses the Salinas River at the east end of Santa Clara Road, approximately 1/2 miles east of Sandoval Road, southeast of the City of Atascader. At the project site, ranch vehicles currently cross the creek only during the dry season, commonly utilizing four-wheel drive vehicles to navigate the sandy creek bed. The bridge will allow all season use of the existing roadway, and will eliminate the need for vehicles to enter the stream bed in order to traverse the site.
