Title: Coachella Landfill Composing Facility
Description: Development of a green material compost facility on a portion of the closed Coachella Landfill. Active windrow compost process will be used. Estimated feedstock is 100 to 250 tons per day. no manure will be stored or added on site. At peak capacity 75,000 tons (187,500 cubic yards assuming a conversion rate of 0.4 tons [800 pounds per cubic yard]) of incoming material will be processed. The permit allows a design capacity of 37,500 cubic yards undergoing compost processing at one time.
