Blue Stone Quarry

Description

The applicant proposes to quarry approximately seven million cubic yards of rock, weathered rock and topsoil over a period of 20 years on a 54 acre site. A tributary to Tick Creek will be eliminated and includes Pond 2 where red-legged frogs are present. Project conditions contain specifications for acquiring additional habitat and re-vegetation in the quarry area. Conditions are established for collecting and treatment of both storm drainage and process water.
