Estero Area Plan Update

Description

The purpose of the update is to recognize changed conditions, accommodate any change in direction needed for the planning area, and bring relevant data up to current levels of accuracy. A number of text and mapping changes are proposed. Textual changes are found throughout the document with portions being added or deleted. These include, but are not limited to: clarifying and adding new plan goals, policies, programs and standards for land use planning and circulation; completely updating census statistics, figures, land use acreage, and other data; correcting mistakes, ambiguities, and other minor reorganization of text; reviewing and revising programs and standards that function as mitigating measures for growth anticipated by the plan; updating resource management data for water, sewage disposal, schools, and air quality; and, projecting housing and population growth.
