Description

The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works. The project consists of grading to remove 5,300 cubic yards of unpermitted fill dirt in the floodplain of the Salinas River, and restoration of the site. Disturbed areas will be restored to the original contours and the slope adjacent to the Salinas River will be revegetated. Removed fill dirt will be loaded onto trucks located outside of the river, and transported offsite. A water truck will be used for dust control during work activities, and erosion control measures implemented during the restoration.
