Title: Hanson Aggregates Mclaughlin Terrace Pit Expansion - PLP 99-0088
Description: The project request proposes to expand the existing McLaughlin Terrace Pit by 13.3 acres by extending mining westward into portion of the former plant site. To facilitate the request, the application requests: 1) a zone change to add the (MR) Mineral Resources Zoning District to the parcel as necessary, 2) a use permit to authorize terrace mining activities on approximately 4.0 acres between the former plant site and existing McLaughlin Terrace Pit which are not vested, and 3) revision of the master reclamation plan on 65 +/- acres which include the former plant site and McLaughlin Terrace Pit in order to reflect the expanded pit, reclamation to wildlife habitat, and implementation of mitigation for fishery impacts.
