U.C.Davis Med Center-Long Range Development Plan
Description
The proposed project is a complex of facilities designed to accommodate a variety of disciplines focused on neurodevelopmental disorders. Phase 1 is composed of two buildings: a 72,338 gross sq.ft. (gsf) clinical/office building to provide examination spaces, clinical offices, a resource center/library, food services, and a main entry. The second building is a 27,270 gsf wet laboratory building to provide laboratory space, laboratory support space, and offices for research faculty and staff. Phase 2 of the project consists of a 31,979 gsf dry laboratory building to provide laboratory space, laboratory support space and offices for research faculty and staff engaged in research on human subjects, including diagnostic spaces, research classrooms, and medical imaging facilities. The proposed site for the project is a 3.5-acre parcel at the eastern edge of the UC Davis Medical Center campus in Sacramento, along 50th Street and west of 49th Street. Adjacent land uses include the Ronald McDonald House to the north, residential neighborhoods to the north and east, the Lawrence J. Ellison Ambulatory Care Center to the northwest, Campus Central Plant to the west, and surface parking lots to the south and southeast.
