Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of outdoor mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Numbers (APNs): 019-310-012-000 & 019-310-013-000. Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 4,374.52 sqft of mature canopy in (105) 5ft-diameter pots on APN -013 as well as (58) 4ft-diameter pots and (44) 6'x6' raised boxes on APN -012. Existing support infrastructure is approved to include a permitted groundwater well located on APN -013, eight (8) 250-gallon nutrient mixing tanks on APN -013, one (1) 500-gallon and one (1) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks on APN -012; one (1) 10x12' shed for post-harvest processing that will become harvest storage, one (1) 10"x12' shed for harvest storage and a 10'x10' compost area located on APN -013. Proposed activities are approved to include the development of previously disturbed area, specifically installation of one (1) 1O"x12' shed for processing and three (3) 1O"x12' sheds for harvest storage on APN -013, a 4'x4' shed for ag chemical storage and two (2) 6'x20' hoop houses for immature canopy on APN -012. There is a permitted septic system on APN -012 that services the project's wastewater needs. Power for the project is provided by solar. Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
