The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-ORA-37604-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the Project Applicant, Trabuco Old Stage Partners, LLC. The Project is limited to the fuel modification activities in a 100-foot buffer associated with the development of five single-family homes adjacent to Live Oak Canyon Road. Dead and dying vegetation will be removed from the buffer site. Native grasses will be cut below four inches of height. Groups of trees, tree-form shrubs, and shrubs that exceed two feet in height will be vertically pruned and horizontally spaced. Non-native and invasive species will be removed from the site; only species native to the Project site will remain within the riparian area. Existing non-native trees will be removed. Project activities may occur twice annually in late spring and early fall of each year at the end of the growing season for annual plants.
