Document Description
The Indian Valley Community Services District is proposing to make improvements within the California Department of Transportation’s (Caltrans) right of way along State Route 89 in Plumas County at post mile 19.6 in the community of Greenville. The proposed improvements within the right of way would include construction of two Type C driveway connections, installation of an 18-inch diameter culvert under each new driveway connection, and installation of a new 6-inch diameter water main under State Route 89. These improvements would service a new emergency services facility that is being constructed. Caltrans will issue an encroachment permit (02-25-X-XX-0151) to allow the proposed activities to occur within the right of way along State Route 89.

The California Department of Transportation has determined that the project is categorically exempt in accordance with Section 15303 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) Class 3 — Construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. The project would not have a significant effect on the environment.
