Document Description
The Project involves the removal of a 29-inch DBH Sycamore tree adjacent to the maintenance road on the west bank of Alamitos Creek on Valley Water fee title property (APN 696-01-026) in the City of San José. The stump and roots of the tree would remain in place. No herbicide treatment to allow for resprout. All cut material would be removed and disposed of off-site. Valley Water’s standard Best Management Practices would be incorporated into the Project. The Project is proposed to protect public and private property and public safety.
Construction vehicles and equipment would include a bucket truck and chipper. Construction vehicles and equipment would access the site via Almaden Expressway and through the maintenance road adjacent to Alamitos Creek. Tree removal would be conducted from adjacent Valley Water maintenance road. No construction vehicles or equipment would be in the channel to perform proposed work. Staging would be confined to maintenance road beyond top of bank on Valley Water fee title property (APN 696-01-026). Work would only occur Monday through Friday between 7 a.m.
and 7 p.m. The Project would be completed in approximately one business day.
