The Signal Hill Bike and Pedestrian Lane Improvement Project would enhance non-motorized transportation within E Burnett Street corridor by creating a safe and accessible bike and pedestrian lane. The proposed Project activities are considered repair and minor alterations to an existing street, sidewalk bikeway, and pedestrian facilities and do not create additional automobile lanes. The area is currently used as a Class III bikeway and used by existing pedestrian traffic despite lack of facilities (§15301(a))
The project is not located within a sensitive environment.
No exceptions to the use of the class of Categorical Exemptions apply to the project.
