The Park improvements would affect 4.04 acres and occur over three phases and include; demolition and removal of some landscaping, concrete/asphalt, various park equipment, and the existing dog park; playground and park structure improvements; parking and access improvements; swimming pool enhancements including a new splash pad activity pool; pathway and pedestrian feature improvements; and lighting and landscaping improvements. Improvements at the M&O Yard would affect 2.82 acres and include; demolition and removal of the three existing buildings (maintenance, shop and storage, and administration buildings); a new 12,380 SF M&O building; redesign of parking areas and pathways; new pedestrian and vehicular access points; dedicated materials storage area; and updated utilities and drainage. The proposed improvements aim to enhance the functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal of Fritz Burns Park, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of the community as a vibrant recreational space, and to upgrade and modernize the M&O facilities while improving site circulation.
