Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace pavement delineation at various locations on SR-24, I-80, I-580, and I-980 in Alameda County to prevent wrong-way drivers. Project activities will include upgrading striping to current standards, installing chevron markings in gore areas, and installing Type V arrows on off-ramps. Some project elements will occur off the paved roadway, but all work will remain within Caltrans right of way (ROW). Equipment shall be staged within Caltrans ROW in areas absent of vegetation. One-way traffic control will be required during construction. Project construction will take place during the spring and summer of 2026.
