Document Description
The proposed project intends to immediately assess and rehabilitate to restore the Picacho Road Bridge to an approved operational rating after its closure on March 3rd, 2025 due to the existing structural deficiency of the bridge, the infeasibility to enforce weight restriction, and the growing concerns of the safety to traveling public by the Department of Public Works, the Bureau of Reclamation and its managing partners. Additionally, on March 18, 2025, under Minute Order #15, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors approved the resolution declaring a state of emergency for the Picacho Road Bridge over the Yuma Main Canal, Bridge No. 58C0028.
