Document Description
UPRR proposes to replace the existing 22-span, 317-foot long, timber stringer trestle ballast deck bridge with an 11-span, 332-foot long, prestressed concrete box girder bridge. Construction will occur within an existing UPRR right-of-way (ROW) extending 75 feet to both sides of the track alignment (150 feet total ROW width). The proposed access route and staging areas are partially located outside of the ROW. The Project limits include the existing and proposed bridge structures, access routes, and temporary work spaces. The bridge spans North Honcut Creek and an intermittent overflow channel, designated as Water-2. North Honcut Creek and Water-2 are indirect tributaries to the Feather River. A second intermittent stream (Water-1), eight palustrine emergent and scrub-shrub wetlands (Wetland-1 through Wetland-8), two open waterbodies (OW-1 and OW-2), and four intermittent ditch features (Ditch-1 through Ditch-4) are also present within the Project limits.
