Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-NAP-48924-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).
The Project will repair and restore the slopes at five locations along SR 121 in Napa County between post mile (PM) 13.37 and PM 22.73 to stabilize washed-out areas and prevent further deterioration where heavy rainfalls caused slope and embankment failures along SR 121.
Construction includes the following installations: rock slope protection (RSP) at Locations 1, 4, and 5; sheet pile walls at Locations 2 and 3; erosion control protection throughout all temporarily disturbed areas; and replaced cross culverts at Locations 1 and 2. Miscellaneous drainage work including regrading a roadside ditch is also proposed. Locations 1, 3, and 4 are within bed, bank, channel and/or upland riparian habitat.
