Document Description
The project is a 70-mile high-capacity cable system that would extend along residential streets through developed areas of Arcata. Approximately 40 miles will consist of new strand and fiber aerially attached to existing utility poles, and roughly 30 miles will consist of new underground conduit and fiber. New utility poles are being installed as needed. The NPC requests the Energy Division to act on Vero’s Telecom’s request for a determination that the project is consistent with the activities determined to be categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) by the California Public Utilities Commission (Commission).
