Document Description
The Town of Paradise proposes to signalize the existing stop-controlled intersection of Skyway and Pentz Road. On Skyway, eastbound and westbound left-turn pockets would be constructed, and on Pentz Road, northbound and southbound right-turn pockets would be constructed. The approach roadways of Skyway and Pentz Road would also be improved to tie back into the existing roadway. The Class I path along Pentz Road would tie into this intersection, and crosswalks on the west and north side of intersection would be constructed for pedestrian connectivity.

Reasons for Exemption
The project will result in no expansion of an existing use. No additional through lanes or capacity will be created by the project; however, turning lanes will be added to the intersection to provide for large vehicle turning radius. The purpose of the project is to signalize the existing stop-controlled intersection of Skyway and Pentz Road and is consistent with the Town of Paradise Long Term Recovery Plan Tier 1 Project Initiatives. No further environmental review is necessary for this project.
