Document Description
Notice of Exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15303, Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) and Section 15304 (Minor Alterations to Land). The project proposed to enhance the reliability and efficiency of communication infrastructure at the South Haiwee Dam by installing a fiber optic line that will connect to existing conduit at Highway 395 and extend eastward along the north shoulder of South Haiwee Reservoir Road for approximately one mile. Construction activities will include plowing a narrow trench, six to twelve inches wide and between 24 to 36 inches deep, to accommodate a 1.25-inch duct. The project will support operational needs and improve service for the South Haiwee Dam and all work will be restored to pre construction conditions upon completion.
